Confirm which refrigerant your car uses. This year range spans the change from R134a to R1234yf. The label under the hood will tell you.
Flush the system and replace the receiver drier or accumulator and the expansion valve or orifice tube. If the old compressor failed internally, metal debris is still in the lines, and it will destroy a new compressor quickly. This is the most common reason a replacement compressor fails early.
Evacuate the system properly and charge to the factory specification.
