Two-way articulation is what separates this from a basic snake camera. A fixed probe only shows you what is straight ahead, so you have to twist the whole cable and hope. With the thumb slider you steer the tip 210 degrees left or right once it is already inside, which gives you a full look around a cylinder wall or inside a wall cavity without pulling the cable back out.
At 5.5mm the probe fits through a spark plug hole, so you can inspect cylinder walls, piston crowns and valves without pulling a head.
Uses: engine and cylinder inspection, evaporator and HVAC ducts, drain and pipe work, wall cavities, transmission and differential inspection, retrieving dropped hardware.
