Important, please read before use
Manually wind the crown 20 to 40 times before placing the watch in the winder. An automatic movement needs sufficient power reserve to begin with. If you put a stopped watch straight into a winder, it may not build enough reserve and will appear to stop on its own. This is normal and is not a fault with the winder.
Once the watch is fully wound, the winder keeps it running so you do not have to reset the time and date every time you rotate through your collection.
Why a winder matters: on watches with a perpetual calendar, moon phase, annual calendar or day date complication, resetting after the movement stops is genuinely tedious. A winder avoids that entirely.
The Type-C power input is worth noting. Most winders use a proprietary barrel adapter that is a nuisance to replace. This one takes any standard phone cable and charger, and it will run off a power bank for travel.
