Boundary behavior: a progressive warning begins about 16 feet before the boundary, with beep, vibration, beep plus vibration, or adjustable static at 5 levels.

GPS accuracy is 2 to 10 meters, roughly 6 to 33 feet. This is normal for GPS containment and it means the boundary line moves slightly.

Because of that, GPS fences are recommended for properties of about 3/4 acre or larger. On a small suburban lot the drift takes up too much of the yard, and the boundary can shift inside areas your dog should be free to use. If you have a small yard, a traditional wired or radio fence is the better tool.

The collar needs a clear view of the sky. Heavy tree cover, buildings and canyons reduce accuracy.

This is a containment system, not a tracker. The app connects over Bluetooth at roughly 100 feet, so it will not show you where your dog is if they leave.

Training: introduce the boundary with flags and supervised sessions before relying on the system. Start at the lowest correction level that gets a response. A dog that has not been taught where the line is will not learn it from correction alone.
