Oil rubbed bronze has hand applied darker undertones that give an aged, traditional look. It suits farmhouse, craftsman and transitional exteriors, and it hides water spotting and handprints far better than polished finishes.
Sold as a matched pair, which is what you want flanking a garage door, a front entry or a patio slider. Buying two singles from different production runs often means two slightly different finishes.
Installation
These are hardwired fixtures that mount to a standard outdoor electrical junction box. If you are replacing existing fixtures you already have what you need. If there is no box at the location, an electrician will need to install one.
Turn off power at the breaker before installing. If you are not comfortable working with line voltage, have an electrician do it.
Bulbs: takes E26 base bulbs including LED, CFL, incandescent and halogen. Check the maximum wattage marked inside the fixture and do not exceed it.
