A cracked or moisture filled third brake light is a common failure on these cars, and it is also a common inspection failure since the center high mount stop lamp is federally required equipment. LEDs light instantly and draw less current than the bulbs they replace.
Before ordering: Compare the shape of your existing light to the photos. Verify the part number on your old unit if you can reach it.
Confirm the connector matches before installing.
If your old light failed from water intrusion, check the seal at the mounting surface when you install the new one. Water getting behind the assembly is what kills most of them, and a new light installed over a bad seal will fail the same way.
